The up-coming Michael Jackson film "This Is It" has broken advance ticket sales records for a movie according to MTV.
According to the report, hundreds of screenings in North America have already sold out in advance of the film's release on October 28.
A record breaking $1 million in ticket sales were registered in Japan on the first day of availability. Other strong sales were seen in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston and New York. Record sales were also reported in Holland, Sweden, Belgium and New Zealand.
As of right now, "This Is It" is still scheduled to be a two-week limited theater run.
