UPDATE: Shyne's Release On Hold Due To Immigration Issues

Put the champagne 40 oz. away. Shyne has NOT been released from prison contrary to earlier reports.

MTV is reporting that Shyne remains in custody with an uncertain release date due to his immigration status.

"Shyne is currently in federal custody while his future immigration status is determined," the rep said in a message to MTV News. Shyne attorney Oscar Michelen emphasized to MTV News on Tuesday afternoon that Shyne has not been released, contrary to media reports.

The rapper is reportedly being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at an unspecified facility in Western New York State. A decision is being made whether or not to deport Shyne, who was born in Belize.

So go ahead and enjoy that steak dinner Diddy.

Rumors are beginning to swirl that Shyne will be deported this Friday.
