TMZ is reporting that MC Ren has reached out to Ice Cube and is pushing for 'Boyz N The Hood' director John Singleton to direct the N.W.A. biopic.
"He knows L.A. He knows the hood and understands it. That is what the director will fully have to comprehend to do a N.W.A. film" Ren says of Singleton.
The N.W.A. biopic is expected to hit theaters in 2012.
