This is very cool. DC artist Demont Peekaso's "Hip-Hop Mount Rushmore" features Biggie, 2Pac and Jay-Z...but it's missing one artist. Rocawear is giving Hip-Hop fans the chance to choose the 4th artist.
The other nominees are:
Eminem
Ice Cube
Nas
Kanye West
Big Daddy Kane
Kool G. Rap
KRS-One
Lil' Wayne
LOL at Lil' Wayne being on the list. I say KRS. You can vote here.
A vote allows you to be entered in the draw to win the painting.

1. Develop your sound. Don't try to be the next (whomever) or irritate plpoee with, If you like (insert artist here), then you'll love me. It takes YEARS to get discovered, and if you're mimicking what's popular right now by the time you do get discovered you might sound very dated.2. Stay where you are and develop a following. You cannot convince a record company to listen to you if you cannot convince your own home town to listen.3. You don't have to go to Nashville to make it. Kinky Friedman didn't, neither did Merle Haggard. You can also make and release your own CDs locally. Having a professionally-produced product is far more enticing to a record company than walking in and saying, Here I am, sign me. 4. To that end, don't think YOU can pick the label you want. Very, very few acts and in most cases, those are artists who are well-established who have their contract with their current label ending can pick the label they sign to.5. Be prepared to have doors slammed in your face and told no. Remember that a very tiny minority of plpoee who perform actually get record deals, and a majority of those plpoee get dropped after one record.
