NME is reporting that U2's Bono owns 2.3 percent of the shares of Facebook via his investment group Elevation Partners.
Elevation reportedley paid $90 million for the 2.3 percent ownership stake in 2009. Reports suggest that once the Facebook IPO hits, those shares could be worth $1.5 billion.
$90 million flipped to $1.5 billion? Not bad...not bad at all.
The IPO could make him the richest musician on earth, putting him ahead of Paul McCartney who has a fortune worth an estimated $1.05 billion...yeah, but Paul did it without Facebook!
