TMZ is reporting that R. Kelly has had to cancel a string of shows and appearances due to a "health emergency."
The book launch for R. Kelly's new biography tonight in New York City has been cancelled along with appearances on the "Jimmy Fallon Show" and the "Today" show.
Representatives for the singer tell TMZ:
"Initial indications are that he is suffering from complications from surgery he had last year to treat an abscess on his vocal cords...It is unclear how long Kelly may be sidelined."
