Small Croatian Island Gives Blue Ivy Carter Honorary Citizenship

According to NPR, Hvar, a small island off the coast of Croatia, has given Jay-Z and Beyonce's daughter Blue Ivy honorary citizenship.

Although the news is still weird, Beyonce and Jay-Z have vacationed there and were reportedly inspired to name their daughter Blue Ivy after seeing a tree on the island covered in...uhhhh...blue ivy. Beyonce recently released a video of the moment her and Jay named Blue on the island:

Hvar's mayor (a small Croatian island has a mayor?) says the publicity has been great for tourism.

The island is very popular with tourists.
