Welcome to a new feature here at brokencool called "Throwback Post." Ever wonder how it would have been had the blogosphere been around in the 90s or 80s? How would have the blogs covered your favorite music? What would posts look like leading up to the release of Wu-Tang's debut album? How would have KRS-One been covered in his early days? Imagine hitting up a blog and seeing Jay-Z and Jaz-O's "Hawaiian Sophie" video? Keep your eyes glued to brokencool and "Throwback Post" as we cover the old school like it's new.
Rookie MC Jay-Z drops a new video for his track "Ain't No N*gga" with upstart female MC Foxy Brown. This song appears on Jay-Z's debut album "Reasonable Doubt", which received 4 mics in The Source, as well as on the soundtrack to Eddie Murphy's hilarious new movie "The Nutty Professor."
A Foxy/Jay-Z collabo album would be somethin' serious. My fav Foxy moment so far is still her wicked appearance on LL Cool J's "I Shot Ya" remix:
