Report: Pharrell Williams Is Close To Signing On As New 'American Idol' Judge

According to an Us Weekly report, things are "looking good" for Pharrell Williams to sign on as one of the new judges on 'American Idol.'

Williams -- who has produced hit records for Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani -- is currently negotiating the terms of his contract. "Everything is looking good, but they're still working out details," an insider tells Us.

If he does sign on, Pharrell would join Mariah Carey who recently stepped in to replace Jennifer Lopez.

Word is Nick Jonas has all but signed his deal to join the judging panel.
