Welcome to a new feature here at brokencool called "Throwback Post." Ever wonder how it would have been had the blogosphere been around in the 90s or 80s? How would have the blogs covered your favorite music? What would posts look like leading up to the release of Wu-Tang's debut album? How would have KRS-One been covered in his early days? Imagine hitting up a blog and seeing Jay-Z and Jaz-O's "Hawaiian Sophie" video? Keep your eyes glued to brokencool and "Throwback Post" as we cover the old school like it's new.
Previous Throwback Post features here.
What? Wild news. According to reports, Snoop Dogg has bolted from Death Row Records for the (friendly?) confines of Master P's No Limit Records. This move is sure to firmly place No Limit near the top of the Hip-Hop map.
Along with the news of the signing, a rumored album cover for Snoop Dogg's No Limit debut "Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not To Be Told" has leaked:
I haven't heard much No Limit material but I'm really wondering how Snoop's music is gonna sound now that he's rolling with a southern Hip-Hop label? Time will tell.
UPDATE:
Snoop has released his first two videos on No Limit Records...#bringbackdeathrowSnoop:
Album drops August 4, 1998.

"I have little more to say. I merely repeat, remember always your duty of enmity towards Man and all his ways. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend. And remember also that in fighting against Man, we must not come to resemble him. Even when you have conquered him, do not adopt his vices. No animal must ever live in a house, or sleep in a bed, or wear clothes, or drink alcohol, or smoke tobacco, or touch money, or engage in trade. All the habits of Man are evil. And, above all, no animal must ever tyrannise over his own kind. Weak or strong, clever or simple, we are all brothers
