Look, these Jay-Z Barclays Center shows are still going to be incredible...but sorry to disappoint you if you were hoping for a bunch of special guests to come through. According to Jay-Z, it will be him and him alone.
Jay-Z spoke to Rolling Stone's Jeff Rosenthal about the 8 shows (starting tonight) and said he's going to be selfish:
"No one's appearing, no one's performing. It's Brooklyn! This is my one chance to be selfish. Can't I? Can't I be selfish? Thank you. Just for these eight shows – then I'll get back to my "Jay-Z and Friends" shows..."
During the interview Jay-Z also answered the question everyone wants to know - are Jay-Z and R. Kelly friends again? It all started with a tweet Hov sent earlier in the week which quoted the R...Jay's response:
"I haven't seen or spoken or heard from R. Kelly since Madison Square Garden. No, that's not entirely true. Since the deposition. [Laughs]"
