Kendrick's lyrical content is wickedly visual throughout "good kid, m.A.A.d. city." It makes the listener feel like they're standing on a front lawn in Compton on a Friday night plotting their evening. The highly conceptual nature of the album doesn't lend itself to an album full of bangers like "Swimming Pools" or "m.A.A.d city", but it's the story that really matters here and Kendrick tells it well. Oh, and "m.A.A.d city" feat. MC Eiht is one of the top 10 west coast Hip-Hop tracks of all-time.
