Drake Wants To Portray President Obama On The Big Screen

What? Anyways, at the Sundance Film Festival, Drake spoke to VH1 and told them that he really, REALLY wants to play President Obama on the big screen...because...you know...he's good at impressions:

"I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama’s life soon because I could play him," the rapper and actor told VH1 News at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week. "That’s the goal. I watch all the addresses. Any time I see him on TV, I don’t change the channel. I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m pretty good at impressions."

Yeah because impressions are the mark of a great actor.

If this ever happens, I'll eat my foot.

Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell's Short Film Selected By Sundance Film Festival

The Sundance Institute selected The Life and Freaky Times of Uncle Luke, a short film starring Miami-Luther Campbell (Uncle Luke of 2 Live Crew) and produced by Miami’s Borscht Corp. (the organization behind the Borscht Film Festival) in collaboration with Miami production company Rakontur for the 2012 Sundance Film Festival’s Short Film Program.

The Sundance Institute selected only 64 shorts for its Short Film Programs from a record 7,675 world-wide submissions.

Luke proclaims, “It's an honor to have a highly respected organization such as the Sundance Film Institute recognize me and my life as an important part of American culture by adding "The Life and Freaky Times of Uncle Luke" to their 2012 line up.”

Freaky Times is a modern Miami adaptation of the 1962 French short film La Jetée, and recounts Campbell’s rise to fame as he changes the face of hip-hop and fights for First Amendment rights – and later as he ushers Miami into a golden era of peace and prosperity as mayor. Everything changes when a nuclear meltdown at Turkey Point turns Miami into a radioactive wasteland filled with mutants, and Campbell is the only survivor left unscathed.
