Somalian/Canadian rapper K'Naan tells MTV that he plans on taking legal action against Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney if he keeps using K'Naan's hit "Waving Flag" at campaign stops.
In a statement to MTV news, K'Naan says:
"I have not been asked for permission by Mitt Romney's campaign for the use of my song," the Somalian/Canadian rapper said in a statement to MTV News. "If I had been asked, I would certainly not have granted it. I would happily grant the Obama campaign use of my song without prejudice."
K'Naan's "Waving Flag" blew the hell up in 2010 when it was used at the World Cup.
