Genius. That pretty much sums up the premiere of Kanye West's new video and single "New Slaves." Not only is the song one of Kanye's best ever, but the decision to premiere the video via projection at 66 locations around the world last night is sheer marketing perfection. Not only is it unique, but it's massively viral and instantly makes Kanye's new song an event rather than just a single.
I posted this a long time ago but here it is again. This is the best documentary I've ever seen about the realities of the music business. It's about Hanson...yeah, the group that made "MmmBop." Watch it and tell me it isn't one of the best things you've ever seen.
You may have heard of Mont Brown. He has been performing frequently in the city of Philadelphia. In the last ten weeks: he opened for Chill Moody (TLA), opened for Cam'ron (The Blockley), opened for Wale (TLA). Further, Mont has upcoming opening spots for Juvenile and Driicky Graham. This interlude is off of Astronauts Really Fly The Band EP, entitled "Hold On." The project was made completely with the ARF, in-house, live band and will be released on March 29, 2013.
