"So Cal Soul" out now.
"The flow mad un-common, but compare me to Lonnie/common scents in the air, but they still smell I'm a problem" - Connor Evans "Winterlude"
"So Cal Soul", releasing April 28th, 2014 for free download, is the follow-up to Evans last album "The Road to Coachella."
"So Cal Soul" features the previously released lead single "Kanye Glasses" and sees Connor Evans delivering a rawer, more soulful Hip-Hop sound. Releasing March 7th, in a unique A-side/B-side release, will be the album's next single "Keys" with the B-side "Winterlude" (heard in the video album teaser).
An artist by the name of Joyner Lucas released his video for the song "in 1 peace" this past January (2013). Is it just me or does this video and even the song scream "New Slaves?"
As Kanye's wildly popular (and controversial) "New Slaves" screenings continue throughout the world, the company behind the screenings in Europe is talking about working with Mr. West.

Billboard Music Awards was the big winner on the weekend, pulling in an audience of 9.47 million, coming in at #1 in the coveted 18-49 demographic. And while the show was packed with superstar performances, one would think that the 28% viewership increase was spurred on my social media and the show's many "shareable" moments.
Genius. That pretty much sums up the premiere of Kanye West's new video and single "New Slaves." Not only is the song one of Kanye's best ever, but the decision to premiere the video via projection at 66 locations around the world last night is sheer marketing perfection. Not only is it unique, but it's massively viral and instantly makes Kanye's new song an event rather than just a single.
